On March 17th 2023 the Bursa Uludag University (Turkey) organized the seminar entitled Switching Mediterranean Consumers to Mediterranean Sustainable Healthy Dietary Patterns, that was held at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Agriculture.
The seminar, which is part of the S2H project dissemination initiatives, focused on illustrating the SWITCHtoHEALTHY aims and methodology and promoting healthy dietary patterns in the Mediterranean region.
The event, held at the faculty amphitheater, was attended by academic staff and professors, as well as 4th-year students from the faculty. The seminar featured discussions on the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet and the challenges faced in promoting and sustaining healthy dietary patterns in the Mediterranean society.
The project SWITCHtoHEALTHY was presented by Professor Metin Guldas, who discussed the main drivers and the main barriers to adopting and maintaining healthy eating habits based on the Mediterranean diet, including affordability, availability of healthy food options and cultural habits.
